We saw a doctor at the health centre who we have not seen before ,we were a little nervous as our daughter lucy is profoundly disabled ,with many rare and complex health problems ,im sorry we didnt get the drs name as he was absolutley fantastic ,with lucy ,he was extremly confident and very knowlegable ,he was also very kind ,i just wish this dr will be staying at woodhouse as he will be an assett to the already amazing drs there are at this surgery ,thanks so very much

I wouldn’t normally write a review. But the new system is excellent. No waiting with the phone. No one frustrated at the end of the phone. More importantly, no waiting outside feeling awful in the middle of winter. How it was when I first used the practice. That system was awful. To get an appointment, you had to que up first thing in the morning, rain or shine. Feeling ill, what an awful system. Much better now. A million times better. No need to explain in the moment. Had time to think/write in the triage system. Received a phone call the same day. (Excellent) Person on the phone was extremely helpful and sounded happier than that of the previous morning phone call receivers. Didn’t need to go in for a doctors sick note. Saved my time and theirs with it being a historical issue. All around a million times better than it was.

I had a telephone appointment with a doctor. They rang when they said they would. The doctor knew all about my conditions and the treatment I am getting and explained my recent blood test results and reassured me that everything was fine. It only took a few minutes and saved me a trip to the doctors.

It would be more than likely if we could have a better appointment system. I know government set rules but there are other surgeries that still successfully let you book on line plus a 3 day booking system instead of having to ring every day until you are successful to get an appointment. The surgery was surprisingly quiet at the time of my visit and the receptionist booked me in without undue delay. My tests were conducted by the person i was informed i would be seeing when i booked the appointment, a lady named Carla, who was friendly, approachable, informative,efficient and knowledgeable. She is an asset both to the practice and the n.h.s. more generally and even though i wasnt experiencing any ill health at the time of my visit, i left the health centre feeling even better than when i went in thanks to her. Due to my mental health most of the time I suffer from a lot of anxiety, especially in busy places and waiting rooms, especially in Doctors Surgeries have been particularly difficult. In fact interaction with surgeries has been something that I've actively avoided. My first visit to register for online service was late one day deliberately to avoid a busy time. It was easier because I didn't have an appointment and could just turn around once I got to the door. It also came within 30 minutes of my first human interaction with the surgery. I had phoned to ask about prescriptions because my NHS App had been wiped upon leaving my old Doctors (change of address and catchment area). That first phone call helped enormously - your Reception Staff were very professional and also very attentive and felt approachable - which for me made a huge difference, making walking in to register shortly after much easier. That ethos/attitude continued face to face (it also helped that there were only 1 or 2 other people in the waiting room. I have had a few more interactions by phone/text as well as the visit survey relates to. I'd chosen an early morning appointment aiming to avoid packed waiting room. There were a few people there when I arrived, and I was feeling on edge before I even set off. I booked in in the screen and sat as more people came in and started counting light fittings and other things to take my mind away from it and was considering going outside to wait, I didn't. Fortunately it wasn't long before I was called and followed a very friendly lady to a room to have my bloods taken. I mentioned anxiety and she was very understanding and explained that I could use the reception area away from the main one in future, which really helped again. Just like everyone so far she was very friendly and professional and caring. A+++. Sorry for the giant feedback, but I wanted to give context and to say, one person can make a huge difference to a Patients experience, but when it's everyone presenting a positive experience it can help so much more than you might think. I hope my positive experience continues and would, so far, like to Thank everyone for making me less anxious about my next appointment. Thank You.

My experience with Dr Smith, Dr Attwood and various locums has been outstanding. In my teens I completed an apprenticeship in carpentry and joinery. Shortly afterwards, I had to stop because my inability to focus and concentrate caused so many problems. I didn’t know then that I had ADHD. I gave up on the trade. Around 30 years later, I was diagnosed and medicated. This has enabled me to pick up my trade again and work very successfully. This would not have been possible without the help of Dr Attwood.

One thing I would suggest is listen to the patient we know our bodies but need you medical knowledge. Got an appointment, online dated a couple of days later. Saw Dr Attwood. Very professional, listened, which is mega important. Not heard back re blood test. Will have to ring or look at test results again online. As not clinically trained they are hard to understand. A couple say retest, but don't say if now or at a later date. Will have to ring to ask, which takes a lot of time and patience. But a big thank you.for being there. A big shout out for the NHS.

I knew my daughter needed to be seen, so I called and the receptionist was lovely and booked my daughter in straight away. The doctor we saw had another gentleman say in with him , the doctor gave my daughter a thorough examination and was so kind to her. He referred her to the hospital for ongoing examination. I mainly wanted to leave this feedback to say thank you for seeing my little girl so quickly (I rang after 2pm and she was seen that afternoon) and to say how brilliant both myself and my daughters childminder think Dr Fran Yarlett is. My childminder was really impressed by her care and professionalism, and I really appreciated her taking the time to call me so that I could be part of the consultation. I have seen Dr Yarlett before for myself and I was equally impressed. I really felt like she cared about my daughters well-being and she is so easy to talk to. Honestly the best GP I have ever been seen by. A credit to her profession and your surgery :-)

The service that I get from the surgery is first class. They always call me back when they say they will and the people that I have had contact with at the practice are always polite and friendly.
