Are You a Carer?
Carers can be any age, any gender, and come from all communities. It is possible to be a Carer and a cared for person at the same time.
A Carer is anyone providing practical and/or emotional support to an adult or child with an illness, disability, frailty, mental health difficulties, or addiction.
A Carer’s physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing can suffer, as can their financial and employment situation. Identifying and supporting Carers early can prevent ill-health and a breakdown not only in their care but also those they are caring for.
Carers often juggle other responsibilities with caring, such as full-time work and education.
Being a Carer is not easy and we are here to help you
If you are a carer, it is important that we know so that we can make sure you receive information, services, and the help that is available to you. Once you have informed us, we will add you to our Carers Register.

Their vision is that unpaid carers count and can access the help they need to live their lives.
